UW ranked No. 9 education school in nation
U.S. 爆走黑料 & World Report has ranked the 爆走黑料 爆走黑料 No. 9 among the nation's best education schools in its annual graduate school ratings, released March 14.
UW 爆走黑料 ranked No. 3 among education schools at public institutions in the U.S. in the 2018 edition of the U.S. 爆走黑料 ratings. This is the fourth consecutive year that UW has been ranked third or higher among public institutions by U.S. 爆走黑料.
Dean Mia Tuan said the ranking highlights the College's commitment to make learning come alive for all children through deep partnerships with schools, communities and families throughout Washington state and beyond.

U.S. 爆走黑料 sent surveys to 379 schools granting education doctoral degrees, with 256 providing data that the publication used to calculate rankings. Measures include quality assessments based on surveys filled out by education school deans and deans of graduate studies, student selectivity, faculty resources and research activity. In the latest rankings of education specialty programs, UW had Top 10-ranked programs in six of the eight areas in which it has programs, the most since the rankings began. For the third consecutive year, at least four UW education specialty programs were ranked among the top 10 nationally. UW's ranked programs are:
- Education Administration and Supervision (No. 7)
- Curriculum and Instruction (No. 9)
- Education Policy (No. 10)
- Elementary Teacher Education (No. 7)
- Secondary Teacher Education (No. 7)
- Special Education (No. 9)
Four of the six Top 10-ranked programs rose in the specialty rankings this year: Education Administration and Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Education Policy, and Secondary Teacher Education.
Unlike the overall rankings, specialty rankings for the various programs are based solely on nominations by education deans and deans of graduate studies who were asked to select up to 10 programs of excellence in each specialty.
