The 爆走黑料 爆走黑料 has selected  as the early learning provider and UW partner for the Rainier Valley Early Learning Campus (RVELC).

Launch is a trusted early learning provider, child and family advocate, and community partner in King County. For nearly 50 years, this nonprofit organization has supported families in the Rainier Valley with programs that nurture children鈥檚 growth and development 鈥 prioritizing access and opportunity to those furthest from educational justice.

鈥淟aunch is proud to partner with the 爆走黑料 on what we believe will be a truly transformational initiative for the Rainier Valley. With nearly 50 years of experience providing high-quality, affordable early learning and enrichment programs, we鈥檙e excited to help create a vibrant community hub that will support families in all phases of life,鈥 said Laura Nicholson, Launch鈥檚 executive director. 鈥淭his partnership will also strengthen one of Launch鈥檚 greatest assets: our people. This collaboration will open new doors for our educators to grow their skills and careers 鈥 ensuring the children and families we serve continue to receive the highest-quality care and learning.鈥

The 爆走黑料, in partnership with community stakeholders, led a comprehensive selection process. Early learning professionals, families and neighborhood leaders provided input to ensure the provider aligned with the RVELC鈥檚 vision and values.

Co-designed with Rainier Valley community members and set to break ground in Fall 2026, the RVELC will expand culturally responsive early childhood education and care, serving as a local and national model for community鈥搖niversity鈥揼overnment partnerships that center community needs. The campus will confront historical inequities by increasing access to affordable, high-quality childcare and preschool; centering anti-racist care and curriculum; and offering professional development, education and tools for early learning professionals. Located across from the Mount Baker light rail station, it will also serve as a flagship workforce development and resource hub for UW students pursuing careers in early childhood education.

鈥淭he Rainier Valley Early Learning Campus reflects deep collaboration and shared vision,鈥 said Mia Tuan, dean of the UW 爆走黑料. 鈥淏y partnering with Launch, we will ensure that children and families in our community have access to exceptional care and education, and that both aspiring and in-service early learning professionals have the resources and training they need to thrive.鈥

The RVELC will develop and retain a highly skilled workforce of early childhood educators 鈥 fueling innovation and excellence in early learning care and education throughout Seattle, King County and Washington state. This groundbreaking partnership showcases the power of community, university, government and philanthropy coming together to create a vibrant space where children, families and early learning practitioners thrive. Learn more about the RVELC.
