Circle Time Magazine launches Season 2 for early learning professionals
The , a professional development web series for early childhood educators created by at the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ, is now available.
Each Season 2 episode features guest experts in early childhood education who share strategies and knowledge about children's social and emotional development, positive behavior support and promoting equity in the classroom. Every episode is accompanied by a print magazine, free resources and visual supports, all of which early learning professionals can use in their practice right away. Additionally, Circle Time Magazine offers helpful tips to promote wellness and resiliency as an educator.
The first episode, explores:
- Social emotional development: what it is and how to support it.
- Responsive caregiving with infants and preschoolers.
- Challenges to building relationships, such as hot buttons and implicit bias—and strategies for managing them.
The second episode, focuses on:
- The Positive Behavior Support framework.
- Environmental and visual supports
- Rules and behavioral expectations
- Schedules and routines
- Children’s books about rules and expectations
- Resilience and self-care tips for educators
Circle Time Magazine is created and produced by Gail Joseph, founding director of Cultivate Learning and the Bezos Family Foundation Distinguished Professor in Early Learning.
Last year, Cultivate Learning awarded more than 1,000 STARS credit hours to early learning professionals who engaged in , which focused on teaching math. Early learning professionals can receive STARS credit for watching episodes and then completing the corresponding Knowledge Check on the Cultivate Learning website.
