Dr. Marisa Bier, founding Director of the Seattle Teacher Residency (STR), has significantly transformed educator preparation, emphasizing the recruitment and support of teachers of color. Honored as an Impact Academy fellow, her commitment to racial equity and innovation has shaped STR into a nationally recognized program. Meet Courtney Berger Levinson, Director of Institutional Research and the 2024-2025 Faculty Council Staff Representative. Since joining the College in Fall 2022, she has used her experience as a middle school teacher and her Master’s in Education Policy to enhance data-informed decision-making.
