Position Description
We're a family of 5 living on Mercer Island looking for a warm, patient, and dependable nanny for our 3 daughters (9 and 7 twins) to help get kids ready and off to school several days a week. Additional hours are available depending on interest. Nanny will need their own car.
Parents can support morning routine when in town, help is really needed when one is travelling for work.
Who we are:
- Mom works from home and Dad works in Seattle, both travels regularly for work
- Three spirited and silly girls (9, 7 and 7) who all attend the same elementary school (5 minutes from home)
- Two cats
Preferences:
- Experience working as a nanny / sitter of multiple children
- Clean driving record
- A kind, calm presence (our girls are small people with big feelings, and sometimes they just need a snuggle)
- Someone who enjoys playing games and encouraging creativity
- Reliability and communication are important to us
Job Responsibilities:
- Morning Routine (3-5 days a week, 7:30 - 9:30 AM, depending on availability):
- Ensure kids eat breakfast and clean up
- Prepare and pack lunches
- Help kids get ready for school (dress, pack backpacks, check their schedule, do hair)
- Walk kids to bus stop or drive to school (5 minute drive)
- Occasional extra hours available on school closure days
- Babysitting hours and date nights available too
- Extra hours available for other chores if wanted
