Part-Time or Live-In Caregiver to 2 Special Needs Teens
Family Seeking Education Student as Part-time or Live-In Caregiver to Two Special Needs Sons
We're looking for a special needs caregiver - we can provide room and board and wages.
Hours: after school 2:30-7:30 and some on the weekends, as convenient. 25-40 hours per week. We can be flexible.
Live-In Option: We have had multiple successful au pairs over the past 12 years, so we're very accustomed to having a caregiver live with us. We have a private bedroom and bathroom that you could use and we are centrally located on Mercer Island, right by I-90.
Paid Help: Alternatively, we'd be open to a nursing student who lives on campus and is looking to earn some money as our caregiver. The hours would be the same - after school and some on the weekends as convenient.
Caregiving Duties:
- Provide companionship and supervision to two special-needs sons
- Engaging boys in play and conversation
- Going on walks for exercise
- Help with dressing at times
- Preparing simple foods
- Driving to activities (optional)
- Helping with bathroom and hygiene tasks - both boys are mobile
About us: We are an active and social family with 3 sons, ages 16, 18 and 20. Our oldest and youngest were born with a genetic syndrome called Klefstra syndrome. This presents with global delays and intellectual impairment. Our sons are very sweet, social and really like to be with people. Our boys love music and being active :) They are very happy, friendly and well-liked. We like to swim, hike, play sports, ski, boat, watch movies and do things as a family.
