We’re a fun and hardworking family living in the Bryant neighborhood, and we are seeking an experienced, energetic, and caring student looking for some extra hours to fill in their time watching our daughter (born in June 2024) starting in early January.

KEY DETAILS:

Location: Bryant, Seattle
Start date: early January 2025 through end of June 2025 (possible to extend through August)
Schedule: two days a week between Monday and Thursday, 7:30am-3:30pm
Guaranteed 16 hours/week but possibly more if interested
Hourly rate: $22-27 depending on experience and qualifications


A LITTLE ABOUT OUR FAMILY:

We are a family of 4 with a very loving 4 year old chocolate lab.  Both parents work from home in independent office spaces. We have a bright, independent 2.5 year old girl in preschool and welcomed our second baby girl in June. We are looking for a student who can help us continue nurturing her curiosity with fun, engaging screen-free activities while ensuring her safety and well-being. No care needed for our 2.5 year old.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

* Kind, energetic, attentive, creative, tidy
* Good understanding of infant developmental milestones
* Loves teaching and playing with our little one during wake windows
* Excellent communication skills
* Punctual and reliable

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Actively engaging our baby in fun, age-appropriate, screen-free daily activities
* Plenty of outdoor activities (e.g., strolls and going to the parks)
* Maintaining consistent daily sleep and mealtime routine
* Preparing and feeding solids (both purees and baby-led weaning), formula/breastmilk
* Managing all other baby-related tasks, such as diaper changes, tidying up the play area and the nursery, cleaning and sanitizing toys and the diaper station

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

* 2+ years of experience working with infants
* Current infant first-aid/CPR certification
* Up to date on vaccinations (COVID, flu, Tdap)
* Non-smoker
* Comfortable with preparing/feeding solids
* Follow hygiene practices
* Pet-friendly (we have a friendly, people-loving lab at home!)
* Minimum 2 references
* Willing to undergo a background check
