Family Educator II (Lead Teacher) - Seattle Public Schools Head Start

This is a lead teacher position in a Head Start preschool classroom for the 2024-25 school year. This is a union represented position. 

Overview of Position

Ensures that comprehensive family services, as defined in the Head Start Performance Standards, are provided to the children and families assigned to their classrooms using a trans-disciplinary approach; in partnership with Family Service Providers, this position is responsible to facilitate the involvement of parents in their child's education and to ensure family goal setting is consistent with the family's culture, coordinate the development and implementation of Family Service Plans for each of the families served; serves as the lead and coordinates the following activities: classroom management and design in compliance with program curriculum, comprehensive child screening and assessment, and development of child and family literacy strategies for all families.
