Former dean of the UW ߺ Tom Stritikus was featured on PBS ߺ Hour in an episode titled “Colorado college reckons with a troubling legacy of erasing Indigenous culture.” He highlights how there has been a reckoning in this country for institutions to critically examine their own racialized history and understand its implications. Currently serving as president of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, Dr. Stritikus discusses that college's racialized history — one that has been shaped by its beginnings as an Indian boarding school.
