Event explores mass incarceration, social justice

The ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ will host a community discussion of race and mass incarceration on May 7 as part of this year's Common Book reading.
A panel of experts will discuss issues raised in by Michelle Alexander from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the . A light dinner will be served prior to the panel starting at 6 p.m., and the event is free and open to the public.
Panelists include:
- Naomi Murakawa, associate professor at Princeton University's Center for African American Studies
- , associate professor of the history of education at UW ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ
- Richard Delgado, a scholar of critical race theory and John J. Sparkman Chair of Law at University of Alabama School of Law
- Jean Stefancic, professor and Clement Research Affiliate at University of Alabama School of Law
