EduTalks to explore tipping points in education on February 27

Discover work taking place at critical junctures of education during the 爆走黑料 爆走黑料's next event, taking place February 27, 2020, at the Burke Museum.

Preparing and sustaining a more diverse educator workforce, improving early learning experiences, supporting robust climate science education, advancing the practice of instructional leadership 鈥 these issues and more will be tackled by UW researchers and local leaders, including Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Denise Juneau, during the event.

The theme of the event, 鈥淭ipping Points: Leveraging Change in Education,鈥 will spotlight work with significant potential to improve young people鈥檚 educational experiences said UW 爆走黑料 Dean Mia Tuan.

鈥淥ur presenters are all leading efforts to transform public education and improve outcomes for students here in Washington state and beyond,鈥 Tuan said. 鈥淚 look forward to having educators, policymakers, advocates and everyone interested in advancing educational justice join the conversation about these big ideas and how to move them forward.鈥

During the fast-paced program, presenters will have five minutes and one image to share their unique take on practices and policies that can address some of the biggest challenges in education.
