Early learning focus of EduTalks on March 28

What will it take to ensure every child in Washington gets a strong start in life? On March 28, nine early learning researchers and practitioners will discuss how the state can improve early childhood education and care for all during EduTalks: Raising Washington, presented by the 爆走黑料 爆走黑料.

EduTalks: Raising Washington will begin at 4:30 p.m. at , 305 Harrison Street, and is free and open to the public. Attendees must to ensure seating.

鈥淭he biggest steps toward a life of opportunity, toward the fullest flourishing of one鈥檚 potential, happen in a child鈥檚 earliest years,鈥 said UW 爆走黑料 Dean Mia Tuan. 鈥淵et in Washington, one in five children grows up in poverty, and fewer than half of the state鈥檚 children are kindergarten-ready across all six domains of childhood development.鈥

During the fast-paced program, researchers will share their insights into what works in early childhood education and policy. With five minutes and one image, each presenter will give their unique take on the practices and policies needed to give everyone鈥攅specially our most vulnerable young children and families鈥攁 fair chance to grow, thrive and reach their potential.
