Dr. Gao will join the College as an assistant teaching professor in multilingual education. She currently serves as a visiting lecturer specializing in TESOL in the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ & Human Sciences at the University of New Mexico. Her research interests include teachers' professional and linguistic identities, teacher preparation and bilingual teaching practices, queer epistemologies and equity issues in teacher education. An experienced instructor, Dr. Gao has taught Chinese and ESL in elementary and early childhood education in the U.S. and EFL in China.
